The vertical piece drops down on the inside back of the cabinet. Made of thick by 2 wide rolled steel on the horizontal pierce. The vertical piece is ¼" x 2 ½" by 4in length. PLEASE NOTE: The vertical piece [tang] is placed in the center of the horizontal piece on a 24 bracket the vertical piece [tang] is directly in the center of the bracket, giving you 12 on each side of the T-Bracket. Meaning there will be 12 inside the cabinet and 12 on your overhang. We recommend spacing your brackets 20 apart for maximum protection. Powder coated
